The Mind/ Body Connection
The Mind/Body connection is an important part of the therapy framework in which I work. With a background as a biologist, a former massage therapist and a longtime yoga practitioner I see how the way we "em-body" ourselves greatly affects our experience of the world around us. As a body centered counselor, I hope to help my clients understand the physical manifestations of psychology. The body and the mind are not at all separate and in experiences of depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress, the experience in the body is pivotal in tracking change and resiliency.
